BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Six players tallied at least 10 points as the University of New England cruised past Curry College, 93-51, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's basketball contest on Wednesday evening (Feb. 2) at Coach Beaudry's Court inside the Harold Alfond Forum.

Eleven different players found their way into the scoring column for the Nor'easters, who completed the season sweep of the Colonels by a 180-107 margin and move to 11-8 overall (9-3 CCC).

While winning big for a second straight outing, Jordyn Franzen posted another 16-point, nine-rebound performance to lead the hosts. Abby Cavallaro splashed three from downtown and registered 14 points, and Kaylee Beyor added 13 more. Allie Goodman totaled 10 points, seven boards, seven assists, and three steals.

Off the bench, Juliana Tracey canned both of her attempts from deep and only missed once on the way to 12 points, to go along with six assists and three steals. Similarly, Madalyn Sanborn made all but one of her shots and contributed 10 points.

UNE notched 30 points off 27 Curry turnovers, which included a season-high 16 steals. Just like the first meeting between the teams, the Nor'easters collected a whopping 23 offensive rebounds -- part of a 45-30 spread on the boards -- and turned those into 24 second-chance points.

A run of 13 unanswered in the middle of the 1st quarter gave the hosts a 16-4 advantage and set the tone for the rest of the night. It was 23-10 at the end of the period, 48-27 at the half, and 74-43 through 30 minutes.

For the Colonels (3-15, 0-11 CCC), Emerson Cherry had 15 points and Kristyanna Remillard chipped in with nine.

UNE will wrap up what has evolved into a seven-game home stand on Saturday (1 p.m.) against Western New England University (5-7 CCC).
