Bethlehem, PA (November 23, 2021) - Seniors Rylie Rittenhouse and Averi Jordan combined for 35 points and 18 rebounds leading the DeSales University women's basketball team past Moravian University, 75-37, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening in Johnston Hall.

How it Happened

  • DSU scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed in the first quarter clinging to a 15-13 lead after 10 minutes of play.
  • Still leading by two one minute into the second quarter, the Bulldogs finished the half out-scoring the Greyhounds, 17-6 over the final nine minutes led by sophomore Amelia Saunders, who hit three 3's to end the half, giving DSU a 34-21 halftime advantage.
  • DeSales came out of the locker room using an 11-1 run to extend its lead to 22 points at the 3:09 mark and held Moravian to just seven points iin the third quarter.
  • The lead peaked at 40 points late as the Bulldogs cruised to its second win of the season.

  • Jordan led all scorers with 21 points, 17 coming in the second-half.
  • Rittenhouse recorded her third double-double of the year with 14 points and 10 boards.
  • Saunders came off the bench to score 13 points, 11 in the first-half.
  • Junior Maria Newsome had a strong floor game handing out eight assists .

  • Jackie Kelly was the only Greyhound in double digits scoring 10 points.
