Two years ago, the Bearcats defeated the Fighting Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill, 72-71, in a very competitive contest in the ARC Arena.

Fast forward to tonight. Same type of competitive contest, but this time Cobleskill walked away with the narrow 65-62 win.

The Bearcats took a 42-37 lead on a pair of free throws by Valsenia Michie with 3:44 left in the third period, but it would be short-lived as Cobleskill scored 17 of the next 19 points to lead 54-44 with 6:33 remaining in the fourth period.

Hannah Cater would later hit a jumper to keep Cobleskill ahead 58-49 with 3:56 left.

The Bearcats battled back with a run of their own in crunch time by scoring 11 of the next 13 points, highlighted by a game-trying three by Mia Castillo for a 60-60 score with 50 seconds left.

The two teams battled hard in the final 50 seconds but Cobleskill scored a basket and three free throws to hold for the 65-62.

Castillo finished with a double-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Michie scored 18 points (12 in second half) and Elissa Leung had 13 points.

Anna Post led the visitors with 15 points and seven rebounds.
