Keuka College made their first basket of the year on their first shot as Sydney Brown (Lowville, N.Y. / Lowville Academy) knocked down a three with Lauren Hill (Cobleskill, N.Y. / Cobleskill-Richmondville) getting the assist. Amelia Poole followed that with a three for the Wolves as it was 6-3 early in favor of the Wolves. The Herons responded, however, as they outscored the Wolves 24-7 over the final nine minutes to lead after one.

William Smith continued to play quality defense against the Wolves as the Herons held the Wolves without a point for the final 3:36 of the first quarter and first 5:16 of the second. A hook shot leading to a three-point play by Jenna LaMere (Scottsville, N.Y. / Wheatland-Chili) snapped the skid for Keuka College, but the Herons would lead 52-22 at the half.

The Wolves continued to attack from deep in the third. The Wolves scored 13 points in the frame on threes by LaMere, Poole, and Brown. Four free throws rounded out the scoring for Keuka, but the Wolves trailed 75-35 after three quarters.

Keuka College scored a team-high 19 in the fourth quarter, but William Smith continued on to the victory on Tuesday night.
