How it Happened

  • The first-half was a defensive battle as both teams came to play on that side of the ball.
  • DSU led 10-4 early but the Aggies weren't going to back down scoring seven of the next nine points to trail by just one (12-11) late in the first quarter.
  • The Bulldogs scored 10 straight points to finish the first quarter and open the second quarter and took their largest lead of the first-half (11 points) with 58 seconds left in the half on a pull-up 3 from Jordan.
  • Delaware Valley just wouldn't go away however, closing the half on a 7-1 run to trail by just five points (28-23) at the halftime break.
  • The second-half belonged to DeSales, scoring the first 12 points of the final 20 minutes to lead 40-23, and out-scored Del.Val., 23-8, in the third quarter to build a 51-31 lead on a three from junior Rylie Rittenhouse just before the third quarter buzzer.
  • The Bulldogs then held the Aggies to 1-for-16 shooting in the fourth quarter to close out the win and earn its third straight title.

  • Jordan was an efficient 6-for-9 from the field, hitting three 3's and added six rebounds and three assists.
  • Freshman Mikaela Reese finished with 17 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.
  • Rittenhouse added 12 points, nine rebounds, and five steals.
  • Freshman Lindsey Welsh totaled 10 points and four assists off the bench.
  • Senior Isabel Caruso finished off her career with five steals to finish her career with 191 career swipes, ranking 15th all-time.

For the Foes

  • Freshman Haley Keenan was the lone double digit scorer for the Aggies with 12 points and added seven rebounds.
  • Emily Kutskel finished with nine points.
