Baruch Defeats Lehman on Bearcats Appreciation Day

The Baruch College Bearcats defeated the Lightning of Lehman College, 87-51, on Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats led from the opening whistle and finished shooting nearly 50% to improve to 14-9 overall, which is currently a six-game improvement from last season.

The Bearcats finish fourth in the CUNYAC regular-season standing at 8-6 and will host a quarterfinal round playoff next Saturday against fifth-place York College (time TBA).

Prior to the game, the team celebrated Bearcats' Appreciation Day and honored Kaitlyn Rivera and Sameera Ahmed who were each playing in their final regular-season home game.

Nia Dawson led the team in scoring today with 21 points.

The women will finish their regular-season schedule on Tuesday night at the College of Staten Island.
