The Baruch College Bearcats lost 61-47 to the Cardinals of York College in a CUNYAC contest on Monday night in Jamaica, New York.
The Bearcats trailed early and fell behind 25-17, but finished the second quarter on an 11-3 run to take a 29-28 halftime lead.
They took control early in the third quarter and led 37-34 with under five minutes remaining, but the Cardinals finished the quarter by scoring eight of the last nine points for a 42-39 advantage.
They continued their home court momentum in the fourth and out-scored the Bearcats 19-8 the rest of the way to record the win on their Senior Night.
Nia Dawson was tops for the Bearcats with 12 points and six steals. Daniela Zirpolo had 11 points, five rebounds, and three steals.
Mac-Dege Dessources led the Cardinals with a double-double of 20 points, 21 rebounds, and two blocks.
