Benedictine Women Claim 12th Straight Win

ROCKFORD, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team built a 15-0 lead and did not look back, extending their win streak to 12 games.

Allison Michalski opened the scoring at the 9:12 mark of the first quarter
Following an offensive foul Claire Gibler knocked down a three-pointer to make the score 5-0
Alex Fanning finished the early run with a three-point play to make the score 15-0 with 6:47 left in the opening quarter
Benedictine closed the quarter with a 14-0 run completed on a three-pointer from Celia Arreola as Benedictine led 31-5
The run extended to 19-0 after a basket from Fanning and a three from Hanna Piro to open the second as Benedictine opened a 36-5 lead
Reserves had plenty of chances to see the floor the rest of the way
Reggie Much put Benedictine ahead by 40 points at 63-23 midway through the third
Benedictine led by 46 headed to the final 10 minutes
Benedictine has won 12 in a row and remains unbeaten in the conference
