Birmingham-Southern Upends Berry 57-41

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball used a big third quarter to top Southern Athletic Association rival Berry College 57-41 Friday night in Bill Battle Coliseum.  The win stopped a three-game skid for the Panthers who improved to 13-6 overall and 5-3 in conference play.

Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) had a big night.  The center led all scorers with a game-high 15 points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season.  She shot 60-percent from the floor and went a perfect 3-for-3 from the free throw line.  Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) also finished in double-figures with 11 points and a game-high seven steals.

BSC continues SAA action on Sunday.  They take on No. 11 Oglethorpe University at 1 p.m.
