SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's basketball team, despite a 16-8 deficit after 10 minutes of play, used a strong second half to defeat the Warriors of Hendrix College, 63-47, Sunday afternoon from Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers saw themselves down eight points, 16-8, at the end of the first quarter, but thanks to seven Hendrix turnovers and a 9-of-11 mark from the free throw line to outscore the visitors, 20-10 in the second quarter.
-Sewanee took its first lead of the game thanks to a buzzer-beating 3-point field goal by Kinsley Logan at the end of the half, 28-26.
-The Warriors came out with back-to-back 3-pointers to reclaim the lead, 32-28. However, Sewanee put the contest away thanks to a 12-2 run with 3:04 left in the third quarter.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Abby Young led the Tigers with 12 points and four rebounds.
-Raquel Waller added 10 points, while Kinsley Logan and Camryn Broussard each contributed nine points.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Kessie Jenkins was the only Warrior in double figures with 10 points, while Rachel Woppman added 12 rebounds.
