RICHARDSON, Texas – Rebecca Ross scored 11 of her career-high 15 points in the third quarter to boost Albion College to a 88-62 victory over Concordia (Texas) University on the second day of the University of Texas at Dallas Women's Basketball Classic.
Ross knocked down 2-of-3 shots from 3-point range and all five of her free throw attempts as Albion outscored Concordia, 35-15, in the third quarter.
Albion led 35-32 at halftime and 41-37 with 7 ½ minutes left in the third. The Britons ripped off a 17-point run to build a 58-37 lead with 4:15 left in the third.
Ross, who hit 4-of-5 shots from the field and 5-of-6 from the line in the game, stuffed the box score with three assists and five steals.
Emily Bernas and Rain Hinton (14 points apiece) and Elena Welker (10 points) joined Ross in double figures. Hinton completed her third double-double of the season with 10 rebounds. Welker added five rebounds and four assists.
Game Notes
- Albion shot a season-best 57.6 percent (34-of-59) from the field. It was the fourth time in 12 games that Albion shot at least 50 percent.
- Albion scored 44 points in the paint and players who came off the bench produced 39 points.
- Hinton has gone over 900 points for her Albion career. She has produced 909 points in 63 games.
- Evelyn Wischmeyer matched her career high with six assists.

Albion reaches the midpoint of the season with a 10-2 record. The Britons will return to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action with a Jan. 8 game at Adrian College.
