Five double-digit scoring performances led the hot-shooting Emory University women's basketball team past Colorado College, 77-49, in the final game of the Emory Holiday Inn Tip Off Classic Sunday afternoon at the Woodruff Gymnasium on the campus of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA.

The Eagles shot 58.2-percent (32-for-55) from the floor to cruise to the first of two victories for Emory athletic programs over Colorado College on the day. Junior Blair Ripley took advantage down below as she posted a career-high 16 points on 8-of-14 shooting and collected a game-high eight rebounds in 23 minutes of action.

Joining Ripley in double figures was senior Erin Lindahl who turned in her third straight double-digit outburst to begin the year, totaling 12 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Anna Arato reached double-digits for the first time in her career, tallying 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting to go along with six rebounds and a pair of steals. Junior Molly Weiss had 11 points in 21 minutes off the bench while senior Allison Chernow poured in 10 in a team-high 28 minutes.

Emory was on fire during the opening quarter, going 12-for-18 from the floor to jump out the 29-14 lead after 10 minutes of play. The Eagles as a team shot over 57-percent in all but the second quarter as they coasted to the 28-point win. On the other side, the Tigers were held to a 31.5-percent shooting clip and were stymied by the Emory defense down the stretch as the Eagles clamped down, holding CC to 1-of-14 from the floor in the final quarter.

The Eagles, off to a 3-0 start, embark on a four-game road swing beginning first with a road trip to California this weekend to battle Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Friday night before taking on Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday.
