MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball opened its 2019-20 season with a 56-49 road win over Huntingdon College Saturday night. Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) scored her 1,000th career point in the win.
Sitting at 1,002 points for her career, she finished with game-highs of 15 points and nine rebounds. Meechie Manuel (Mobile, Ala./Newbury College) made 4-of-7 from the floor to earn nine points.
BSC returns to the Hilltop November 15-16 to host the annual Richard Dardenne Memorial Classic. Their home opener will be Friday night against Agnes Scott at 6 p.m.
