The Baruch College Bearcats lost 76-59 to the College of Staten Island on Saturday afternoon in a CUNYAC Championship Quarterfinal Contest.

The host Dolphins broke open the contest in the final three minutes of the second quarter.

Samantha Genco made two free throws to cut the Dolphins' lead to 29-27, but the hosts finished the quarter by scoring 11 of the final 13 points to build a 40-29 halftime lead.

That forced the visiting Bearcats to play catch up, but they could only get as close as eight points in the third quarter.

Melinda Spahiu had another all-around game for the Bearcats with 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Megan McEwan was tops for the opponent with 27 points (11-18 fg).
