KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team lost at home on Sunday to Lancaster Bible College by the score of 55-51.

Keuka College (17-5, 12-2 NEAC) was led by Lauren Anten (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) with 15 points. Jariah Johnson (New York, N.Y. / Frederick Douglas Academy) added a double-double for the Wolves with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Lancaster Bible College 55 at Keuka College 51

Both teams struggled from the floor in the opening quarter as they were playing the second half of back-to-back games. No team would lead by more than one possession as the two teams combined for 5-29 from the field. It would be the Chargers who held a 7-6 lead after the first 10 minutes.

Keuka College and Lancaster Bible College continued the offensive struggles in the second quarter. During the frame, each team held a three-point lead. The Wolves came midway through the second as they scored six unanswered. Both teams would score 10 points in the second as Lancaster held the 17-16 halftime lead.

The game remained close in the third with five lead changes in the frame. The Wolves held the advantage late on consecutive baskets by Jariah Johnson and Lauren Anten to hold a three-point lead. The Chargers made a late jumper, but Keuka led 36-35 going to the fourth quarter.

Lancaster Bible College used their size to their advantage in the fourth. The Chargers shot 50% from the floor, 7-14, with all seven baskets coming within the paint. The Wolves would have the game tied at 42-42 with five minutes left before surrendering the lead. The Green and Gold were able to cut it to a one-possession game multiple times, but they were unable to pull it out as Keuka College lost to Lancaster Bible College 55-51 on Sunday.

• The Wolves snapped their drought and held the advantage from three, outscoring the Chargers 18-6 from behind the arc
• However, Lancaster Bible had the advantage in the paint, outscoring Keuka 34-18
• Despite the points in the paint, the Wolves were +11 (49-38) in rebounding including 21 on the offensive glass
• Lauren Anten became the fifth player in program history to surpass 1,200 points in her career

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will now embark on the final week of the regular season. Keuka College will host Wells College on Wednesday night and then conclude the regular season on Saturday afternoon as the Wolves welcome the Mustangs of Morrisville State to the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
