CONWAY, Ark. - For the first time since 2005, Sewanee women's basketball defeated the Warriors of Hendrix College on its home floor. The final Friday night from Grove Gymnasium, 67-57.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After a first quarter that saw Sewanee down 17-12, the Tigers made it a two-point affair, 31-29, at the intermission.
-In the third quarter, the Tigers briefly claimed the lead for the first time since the 2-0 mark early in the game on the first made field goal of the second half, but the Warriors pushed it back out five with just over half the quarter remaining.
-Sewanee used an 8-3 run the rest of the period to even the score at 47 points apiece after 30 minutes of play.
-After a made free throw by Hendrix's Maddie Anderson to start the fourth period, the Tigers reclaimed the lead for good. The visitors sealed the deal with a 15-4 run to lead 62-52 with 3:30 left.
-Sewanee earned its second win of the year when trailing at the half and its third in the Tracey Braden era.
-The Tigers snap a personal seven-game losing streak to the Warriors, as they win their 10th game in the all-time series.
-This is the first win against Hendrix on the road since the 2005 season, ending a nine-game skid.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Ellie Treanton led all scorers with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting.
-Kinsley Logan and Sue Kim each added 12 points for the Tigers.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Macy Moody contributed 14 points, while Kessie Jenkins added 11 boards and 10 points.
-Amber Turner posted 10 rebounds and eight points.
