NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to Mount Saint Mary College, 76-37, at the ARC Arena on Wednesday evening. The Knights remain undefeated in conference play (14-0) and advance to 17-4 overall, while the Maccabees fall to 3-8 in Skyline contests and 6-11 for the season.

Senior guard Nicole Bick and sophomore guard Chana Boltax each scored nine points, with the latter draining three 3-point field goals and the former distributing a pair of assists. Junior forward Tehilla Teigman had a solid game with five points, just as many rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. Sophomore guard Adina Rosenberg scored five points, brought down two caroms, dished out just as many dimes, and forced a steal. Senior forward Michal Alge brought down a team-high nine rebounds, while scoring two points and distributing four assists.

Less than a minute into the game, Yeshiva struck first as Teigman nailed a jump shot to give the home team a brief lead. However, Mount Saint Mary scored the next 21 points to take a commanding 19-point advantage after 10 minutes of play. The Maccabees were not able to generate a rally to get back into the game.

The highlight for Yeshiva in the second half was Boltax nailing shots from beyond the arc on back-to-back YU possessions in the early stages of the third quarter. Later in the period, junior forward Ellie Parker launched a 3-point field goal with under two minutes remaining. It was not enough, as the Knights earned the victory to remain unbeaten in Skyline competition.

For the Maccabees, sophomore forward Lindsay Brandwein and classmate Celia Cohen each clutched six rebounds, with the former scoring four points. Freshman forward Elizabeth Pavel brought down two boards, while junior guard Rachel Kahen grabbed an offensive board and forced a steal. Sophomore guard Leah Shulman recorded an assist. 

For the Knights, senior center Kayla Cleare scored a game-high 18 points to go along with eight rebounds. Classmate Elizabeth Limonta produced a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards, while forcing three steals. Freshman forward Lauren Desrats and junior guard Lyndsay Pace each scored 10 points, with the former dishing out five assists to go along with three rebounds and the latter dishing out three assists of her own.

Yeshiva will travel to Riverdale, N.Y. on Thursday, to take on the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent. The Skyline contest at the Peter Jay Sharp Center is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
