DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – Junior guard Ashley Smink notched her 1,000th career-point with a trey early in the first quarter, but the rest of the night belonged to King's College as the Monarchs earned a 75-40 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom triumph at Delaware Valley University.

The Aggies fell to 8-9 overall and 2-4 in conference play while King's upped its record to 10-7 and 4-2.

Smink's milestone trey came on a transition play early in the game as Dom Moser pulled down a defensive rebound and sprinted down court. She fed Smink who was stationed in the corner, and the junior drilled her 131st career 3-pointer and 1,002nd point to give DelVal a 5-4 lead.

The Aggie led 13-10 with 2:39 left in the first quarter before the Monarchs went on an 11-0 run that continued into the second stanza. King's quickly extended its lead to 32-19 with 6:35 left in the half.

DelVal shot 11-for-32 (34.4%) from the field compared to 12-of-24 (50%) shooting from the Monarchs who maintained a 35-25 lead at the half. Rebecca Prociak got to the charity stripe eight times in the first half and made six of the attempts to pace King's with 12 points to that point.

The Aggies were down 13, 47-34, with 3:26 on the third quarter clock, but used an 8-1 run to cut the deficit to six. Camryn Shaw highlighted the spurt with an easy layup after Moser sliced through the defense and delivered a perfect pass off the fast break.

The Monarchs connected on a trey before the end of the third stanza to take a nine-point lead into the fourth. King's controlled the fourth quarter, outscoring DelVal 19-3, en route to the 70-45 triumph.

Moser finished with 12 points and six rebounds to go with four assists and three steals. Danielle Skedzielewski finished with 10 points and eight boards with a pair of assists. Smink notched eight points and Lauren Moretti dropped in five points with five boards and three steals.

Prociak went 11-for14 from the free-throw line and finished with a game-high 23 points to go with 11 rebounds and three assists. Alexis Steeber followed with 12 points and four steals and Samantha Rajsza made two treys to notch 10 points.

DelVal will hit the road for a pair of MAC Freedom games this week beginning with Wilkes on Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
