IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Marymount University women's basketball remained untouched in Atlantic East Conference competition on Wednesday night, cruising past Immaculata University, 64-40.

Behind a 17-point effort by junior Gabriella Haddad, the Saints shot 44.6 percent from the floor and consistently built a lead throughout the game following a 23-point first quarter. 

Marymount never trailed in the contest, as freshman Katie McShea dropped in the first two points of the game on the first possession off the tip to maintain an advantage the rest of the way. In the first quarter, Haddad carried the offense with 10 points while McShea added seven points and four rebounds. 

No quarter matched up offensively the rest of the way as the first quarter did for the Saints, but the final three quarters were all won by MU, including a 13-9 second to take a 36-20 advantage into the locker room. 

The Mighty Macs made some adjustments at the half in hopes of finding a way to slow Haddad down under the basket, as she finished with 15 points through the first half. They accomplished that, holding the junior to just one shot in the third quarter and no points, but senior Tyffani McQueen heated up to continue the offensive dominance for the Saints, knocking in eight points on three baskets and two free throws. 

In the final quarter, six different Saints contributed to the scoreboard including sophomores Kathryn Ryan and Kaitlin Berger off the bench while junior Regan Lohr led the scoring with five points. 

Beyond the game-high 17 points by Haddad, McShea finished with 13 points and nine rebounds, and McQueen chipped in 12 points. McQueen and Lohr were crafty on defense, tying for a game-high five steals. 

The Saints return home for another league matchup on Saturday, January 12, hosting Marywood University in the Converse Family Fieldhouse. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
