A little later, a three-point basket by freshman guard Carlee Stetler (Wampum, Pa./Mohawk) made it 24-13 in favor of W&J. However, Waynesburg would counter with an 8-1 run to cut the deficit to 25-21 after the first.

In the second quarter, consecutive baskets by Lawhorne and Stetler followed by a pair of free throws from sophomore guard Lauren Gilbert (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) strengthened the W&J lead to 42-29 at the 2:29 mark. A late run would help Waynesburg remain within striking distance as the Presidents carried a 46-38 lead into halftime.

Leading by eight points (59-51) with 5:15 to play in the third, W&J pulled away for good, using a 10-4 run to close the quarter with a 69-55 edge. Gilbert finished off the quarter with a pair of driving layups for the Presidents.

Seto helped W&J out to a strong start in the fourth, recording the first eight points of the quarter for the home team. A three-point play by Seto pushed the lead to 19 points (77-58) with 5:30 to play. Waynesburg could never recover as W&J rolled to victory.

Aside from the strong contributions from Seto and Parker, freshman guard Kylie McKennen (Triadelphia, W.Va./Wheeling Park) put together another strong showing.  The Presidents' point guard filled the stat sheet with five points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals in the win.

Gilbert and freshman guard Aleena McDaniel (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) also added six assists each. The Presidents shared the ball extremely well, registering assists on 25 of 35 made field goals.
