WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior guard Bridgette Mann (Canadensis, Pa./Wallenpaupack) scored a season-best 28 points to lead the way, as The University of Scranton women's basketball team made quick work of Roger Williams on Sunday at the WPI Holiday Tournament, rolling to a 72-35 victory.

The win pushed sixth-ranked Scranton's record on the year to 11-0, as the Lady Royals have now won 43 straight non-conference contests in the regular season, a streak that began in December of 2014. Roger Williams fell to 3-8 with the loss.

Despite being off for the last 12 days to celebrate the Christmas holiday, the Lady Royals came out strong in the win, as they quickly opened a 16-4 lead on Roger Williams in the first five minutes of regulation.

Once Scranton opened a double-digit lead in the contest, they didn't give it up, as they went up 24-12 on Roger Williams after the first quarter. From there in the second period, it was more of the same, as the Lady Royals outscored Roger Williams, 15-5, in the 10-minute frame to take a 39-17 lead into halftime.

Up by 22 entering the second half, Scranton did not look back over the final 20 minutes of regulation, eventually extending their lead out to 53-28 after three quarters. From there, the Lady Royals coasted down the stretch, as they captured their seventh straight game by double-digits on the year.

Overall, Mann was dominant in the win, scoring 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the floor, as she nailed a career-best eight three-pointers in the victory. With eight made three's in the win, Mann matched a school record for most made three-pointers in a game, matching a mark originally set on Feb. 13, 1991, by Anne Gooley at FDU-Florham.

Mann also shot 72.7 percent from three-point range (8-of-11), the seventh best mark in a contest in program history, as well.

Elsewhere on the night for Scranton, junior Makenzie Mason (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) finished the night with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists, while junior Sofia Recupero (Whitestone, N.Y./Saint Francis Prep) and freshman Danielle McCurdy (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) rounded out the top performances on the night with seven points, apiece. McCurdy also pulled down seven total rebounds in the win, as well.

With the victory, Scranton now moves into the championship game of the WPI Holiday Tournament, where the Lady Royal will take on UMass-Boston. Earlier on Sunday, UMass-Boston edged host WPI, 46-43, to move into the championship game.

Tip-off for Monday's championship game is set for 3 p.m.
