#24 DePauw Moves to 3-0 in NCAC

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw opened its North Coast Athletic Conference game against visiting Oberlin with an 11-0 run and never trailed on the way to a 66-37 victory. The Tigers, ranked 23rd by D3hoops.com and 24th in the coaches' poll, moved to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the NCAC, while the Yeowomen dropped to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

Sydney Kopp scored the game's first five points before Claire Keefe added a layup followed by two free throws each from Maya Howard and Keefe. The Tigers took a 19-9 lead into the second period and expanded it to 35-21 at the intermission.

DePauw put the game away in the third stanza by opening with a 15-4 stretch and connected on 7 of 11 shots from the floor for the period. The Tigers held the Yeowomen scoreless over the opening 7:26 of the final quarter and pushed the lead to 64-30.

Kopp led four DePauw double-figure scorers with 14 points, while Howard added 13. Keefe followed with 11 and a team-high eight rebounds with Hayley Cange chipping in 10. Howard passed Katie Aldrich (2008-12) and moved into seventh place on DePauw's all-time scoring list.

Alex Stipano paced Oberlin with 17 points and Jasmine Sorrells added 11 points along with game highs of 10 boards and seven blocks.

DePauw shot 40.7 percent from the floor and held Oberlin to just 21.5 percent. The Tigers held a 46-35 edge on the boards and outscored Oberlin in the paint, 32-18.

The Tigers return to action on December 20 at the Daytona Beach Shootout where they'll face Kean in an 11 a.m. contest.
