ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Junior guard Shirleah Ragin of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for her performance during the period of Nov. 26 - Dec. 2, conference officials announced Monday.

"I am proud of Leah," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "She has let the game come to her and embraced her role on this team. For us, her defense leads to her offense and as a result, she has helped lead us to our conference wins. I'm looking forward to more accomplishments for her."

The Mount Rainer, Md., native led all scorers in both games this week, powering the Panthers to the program's first 2-0 start to conference play since the 2015-16 season.

Wednesday, she dropped a career-high 24 points to lead Pitt-Bradford to a convincing win against Medaille. She went 9-13 from the field while connecting on 3-5 from long range and collecting five steals.

Then Saturday, she dropped a game-best 18 points to lead the Panthers to a win at Penn State-Behrend.

For the week, she averaged 21 points per game and shot 51.9 percent, went 9-12 from the free-throw line and 5-10 from three in 35.5 minutes per game.

So far this season, Ragin is averaging 10 points per game and she's knocked down six three-pointers while collecting 10 steals and dishing 14 assists.

Pitt-Bradford will play its second-straight AMCC road contest Wednesday as it heads to Penn State-Altoona for a 6 p.m. tip.
