COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.  Senior Emily Gibbons(Annapolis, Md./Severn School) poured in 27 points and Gettysburg College closed out the regular season in strong fashion with a 76-60 victory at Ursinus College Saturday afternoon.

Gettysburg (23-2, 19-1 CC) won its 13th consecutive game, tied for the second-longest winning streak in program history. The Bullets established a new Centennial Conference standard for conference victories in a season as well. The 23 wins mark the best regular-season win total at Gettysburg and rank one behind the program record for wins in a season set in 2009-10 (24-5).

Gibbons finished 12-of-17 from the floor and hit all three of her free throw attempts in her highest scoring output since dropping 29 points in the season opener against Lehman College. She also grabbed nine rebounds and needs just nine more caroms to reach 1,000 for her career.

Sophomore Ashley Gehrin (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) knocked down a trio of triples on the way to 17 points, while junior Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) added a dozen tallies. Senior Kendra Meredith(Boyds, Md./Northwest) contributed six points, seven assists, and two steals.

Lydia Konstanzer led Ursinus (13-12, 10-10 CC), which managed to lock up the fifth and final conference playoff spot, with 22 points. Aliyah Stephens added 15 points.

The Bullets only trailed for 13 seconds in the game. After Ursinus scored the opening bucket, Gettysburg tallied 15 of the next 18 points to jump ahead by 10 (15-5) with 4:16 remaining in the first quarter. A three-pointer by sophomore Kiera Cesareo (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) put the advantage at 14 (23-9) just two minutes later.

The hosts sliced the deficit down to four at 27-23 on a steal and lay-up by Marisa Morano with 6:11 to go before halftime. Dorshimer knocked down a three-pointer to extend the lead and the Bullets marched into the locker room in front 40-31.

Gettysburg's lead dipped below 10 just twice in the third quarter and reached 15 (58-43) on a lay-up Gehrin late in the frame. The advantage grew to 20 several times in the final period, including the last on a lay-up by Gibbons which made it 74-54 with 1:56 left.

The Bullets turned in one of their most efficient offensive performances of the season, drilling 29-of-52 (55.8 percent) field goals, 7-of-13 (53.8 percent) three-pointers, and 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) free throws. Gettysburg also out-rebounded Ursinus by 12 (35-23).

Gettysburg will host the semifinals and championship of the conference playoffs next Friday and Saturday (Feb. 23-24). Joining the Bullets in the postseason are Muhlenberg College (22-3, 17-3 CC), Haverford College (20-5, 16-4 CC), Johns Hopkins University (16-9, 15-5 CC) and Ursinus. The Bears travel to Johns Hopkins for the first round on Tuesday, Feb. 20, with the winner advancing to meet Gettysburg next Friday.

Game times for the event will be announced on Monday.
