Spartan Shorts: The Black and Gold's week started on a tough note Feb. 14, as Bluffton University tallied the game's first 13 points and didn't look back in route to a 76-57 win on their home Copeland Court at the Sommer Center. MU put three players in double-figures and finished with one double-double effort to spotlight the evening. The Spartans received 17 points from sophomore guard Nicole Weaver (Fort Wayne, Ind.); 14 points from junior guard Faith-Alexis Graham (Indianapolis, Ind.); and 11 points from fellow sophomore guard Haley Farris (Sharpsville, Ind.). Farris' stellar night didn't stop in the scoring column, either, as she also grabbed 11 rebounds and picked up four steals as part of her first collegiate double-double … The trio kept impressive individual paces of play going at BU. Graham's Wednesday effort resumed a recent run in which she's averaging 10.8 points and just under two assists per contest over the last five games. Her season scoring mark is up one full point (8-9) in the span. Farris' last eight appearances deserve recognition. She's registered double-figure points five times, double-digit rebounds twice, multiple steals five times and multiple assists in three cases over the period. Weaver's canned at least one three-pointer in nine of her last ten games played which includes four times she's hit two-or-more.
