GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Guilford College rookie Jasmine McBride scored a career-best 17 points in the Quakers' 68-43 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball win over Eastern Mennonite University Saturday afternoon.

The win moved the Quakers (12-3) into a share atop the league standings with a 6-2 record. The Royals drop to 10-6 overall (5-3 ODAC).

McBride tallied eight of her points in the first half, which helped Guilford race to a 43-19 halftime lead. The Quakers' outscored Eastern Mennonite, 27-11, in the second quarter. 

McBride was 7-14 shooting and made two three-point baskets. Essence Abraham came off the bench to add 12 points on four three-pointers for the Quakers. Teammate Lauren Ramsey grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and scored eight points in the contest. Guilford had the edge in rebounding, 44-36.

Lindsey Krisak notched a team-best nine points for Eastern Mennonite. Teammate Jess Washington had eight points and 12 rebounds. Chrissy Delawder finished with six points and 10 rebounds. The Royals managed just 27.8 percent shooting from the floor. Their 16 turnovers led to 23 Guilford points.

Eastern Mennonite opened the second half with a 12-4 run capped by a Krisak three-pointer that moved the score to 47-31 with 5:31 remaining in the third period. Guilford reeled off the next 12 points and never looked back.
