NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Junior guard Faith-Alexis Graham (Indianapolis, Ind.) led three Manchester University players in points' double digits Saturday, Jan. 6.

Graham tallied a personal single-game season best 16 points to go with a pair of assists and steals in the Spartans' 81-62 loss at the hands of visiting Hanover College. She was joined in the double-figure scoring column by freshman guard Mikalia Taylor (Connersville, Ind.) who wound up with 10 and four rebounds, and junior guard Sara Carder (Ney, Ohio) who brought the Black and Gold to its feet with three three-point buckets, including one that beat the buzzer before halftime, in route to 11 points, a personal single-game career best.

Coach Josh Dzurick's team, dipping to 3-10 overall and 2-4 in the conference, found itself battling back on the scoreboard after the Panthers closed the first 10 minutes with a 23-9 lead. HC advanced the advantage to 20-plus in the second stanza, but the Black and Gold made it anything but easy, whittling the deficit to as little as 12 and missing a pair of three-point shots that would have cut the margin back inside of ten in the third period. Hanover managed one final surge in route to the final score.

Manchester University resumes conference action Wednesday, Jan. 10. They open the yearly series against loop rival Anderson University. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at AU's O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
