BABSON PARK, Mass.—Five players scored in double figures and Babson College knocked down a season-high 16 three-point field goals on its way to defeating visiting Mount Holyoke College, 103-22, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Staake Gymnasium.
Babson improves to 9-4 overall and 5-0 in conference play with its third straight win, while Mount Holyoke slips to 0-11 overall and 0-5 in the NEWMAC.
Junior Bianca Tomassini (North Branford, Conn.) matched her career high with 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting, while first-year Katie Jones (Ridgewood, N.J.) buried four three-pointers and scored a career-high 16 points for the Beavers. Classmate Nicole Hiller (Rocky Hill, Conn.) hit five triples on her way to a career-best 15 points, fellow first-year Shaye Galletta (Riverside, Conn.) posted her first collegiate double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and junior Katherine Tamulionis (Foxboro, Mass.) chipped in with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting.
Junior Leah Hodges (New Haven, Conn.) finished with 11 points, while first-year Raquel Fitzpatrick (Providence, R.I.) added five points and a team-high nine rebounds for the Lyons.
Tomassini scored 10 early points and Tamulionis knocked down a pair of three-pointers help the Green and White open the game with a 29-1 run. The Beavers shot 48 percent in the opening quarter and turned 15 Mount Holyoke turnovers into 21 points.
The Lyons got a three-pointer from Hodges to cut their deficit to 31-6 at the end of one, but Babson scored eight straight points to open the second period. Galletta and Hiller finished the frame with six points apiece as the Beavers extended their advantage to 50-11 going into the locker room.
Tomassini went 5-of-6 from the floor and had 11 of Babson's 30 third-quarter points as the lead ballooned to 80-19 on a pair of free throws by sophomore Jacqueline Jozefick (Milford, Conn.) late in the stanza. Jones and Hiller drilled five three-pointers and combined for 19 points over of the final 10 minutes as the Green and White topped the century mark for the first time this season.
The Beavers finished with a season-high 27 assists on 39 field goals, and turned 40 Lyons' turnovers into 58 points.
Both teams return to action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as Babson travels to Smith, while Mount Holyoke hosts Emerson.

• The Beavers are 38-7 all-time against Mount Holyoke and have won 18 straight in the series going back to 2009.
• The 22 points allowed by Babson on Saturday are the fewest given up to a NEWMAC opponent in program history.
• The Green and White has won 26 straight games when holding its foes below 30 percent shooting going back to the start of the 2014-15 season.
• The Beavers' 59 bench points on Saturday are a season high.
