SCRANTON, Pa. (December 16, 2017) - For the second time this season, women's basketball sophomore Kendrea Williams set a school-record as the Devils topped Hartwick 94-66.

Just 12 days after setting the school-record with nine three-pointers in a game against Drew, the sharp-shooting guard set the new school-standard with 45 points. She matched the nine three's while shooting a blistering 15-of-22 from the field, including 9-of-15 from behind the mark.

"Best shooting performance I have ever seen," said Head Coach Marc Mitchell.

The Piscataway, N.J. native outscored the entire Hartwick team 33-31 in the opening half of play as the Devils never trailed in the contest. The Hawks closed to within a point at 14-13, but FDU went on an 8-0 run, capped off with a layup from senior Michaela Piserchia.

Hartwick opened the second with four straight to cut the lead down to five, but a 12-0 spurt put the game into double figures and the Devils never looked back. With seven seconds to go in the half, sophomore Gabrielle Harris hit a layup to send the Devils into the break with a 21 point lead.

The second half was more of the same, as the Devils outscored their opponents 42-35 over the course of the final 20.

The 45 points scored are the most ever in the John Long Center, male or female. Junior Bria Smith notched her third double-double of the season, scoring 11 points while pulling down 15 rebounds. Classmate Raven Dowling chipped in 10 assists and seven boards, while Harris added 19 points, six rebounds and four assists.

The Devils, who improved to 5-4 with the victory, will be back in action on December 28th when take on Mount Saint Vincent in the Lehman College Tournament at 2 p.m.
