SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 23 Marymount women's basketball team remained hot on Wednesday night, earning its sixth-straight victory with another Capital Athletic Conference throttling over Salisbury University, 66-45. 

It's the third-straight win for the Saints by at least 20 points, all of which have been in league play. It also marks the seventh-consecutive victory over the Sea Gulls, not dropping a decision since January 2015. 

Although the offense was explosive again, everything was fueled off the tenacity on the defensive end. Marymount forced the Sea Gulls to their biggest turnover count for the season with 29, two more than No. 2 Christopher Newport University forced on its home court last week. Off those 29 turnovers, the Saints converted 33 points.

The defensive spark came off 12 steals, paced by a game-high four by junior Tyffani McQueen. Senior Leah Hurst and sophomore Gabriella Haddad added three each, while sophomore Tenesha Green and freshman Taylor Love chipped in one apiece. 

On the offensive end in a contest that the Saints never trailed, the squad shot a consistent 48.2 percent from the floor. Leading the way was Haddad with a career-high 17 points, posting a nearly perfect game with 7-for-8 in field goals and 3-for-3 from the line. With another great shooting night, she solidifies her spot even more atop the country in field-goal percentage with a hefty 71.7 percent. 

Also posting double-digit scoring nights were Hurst and McQueen with 12 and 10, respectively. 

The women will look to continue their streak back at home on Saturday, December 9. Marymount will host York College of Pennsylvania for another CAC battle with tipoff slated for 1 p.m., in the Verizon Sports Arena.
