DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Rosemont College outscored host Delaware Valley University, 35-25, in the second half as the Ravens remained undefeated with a 76-64, non-conference triumph.

Rosemont upped its mark to 4-0 while the Aggies slipped to 1-3.

Both teams came out red hot on the offensive end as they each shot better than 55 percent from the field and combined for 50 points in the opening quarter. The Ravens had an 18-6 advantage before DelVal scored 18 of the next 23 points to take a one-point lead. Sarah Wills led the run as she connected on three of her four, first-quarter treys. Rosemont got the last bucket with a 3-pointer by Jasmyn Parker for a 26-24 advantage.

The team cooled off in the second quarter as they shot under 36 percent. Rosemont was just 6-for-20 from the field but it connected on eight of 12 attempts from the foul line as the Ravens maintained their two-point lead at the break, 41-39.

Rosemont scored the first four points of the second half and still maintained a six-point lead when the Aggies got five from their rookies – a trey from Lauren Moretti and a jumper form Olivia Gorman – to trial 49-48 with 4:47 left in the third. However, the Ravens responded with a 9-0 run and they eventually took a 61-53 advantage into the fourth.

DelVal never got closer than eight in the final quarter and that was after a pair of free throws by Danielle Skedzielewski made it 67-59 with 5:47 to go. Rosemont quickly pushed its lead back up to double digits and cruised the rest of the way.

Shirle Brown led the Ravens with 20 points while Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter had 14 points and 11 rebounds, including four of her team's 16 offensive boards. Parker finished with 13 points while Ayanna Thompson hit double figures with 11 points.

Wills paced the Aggies with 15 points, including a 4-for-6 effort from beyond the arc. Skedzielewski and Ashley Smink had 13 points apiece with Skedzielewski also adding seven rebounds. Monika Smallwood just missed a double-double as she notched 11 points and nine boards. Gorman and Moretti scored five points apiece.
