MADISON, N.J.—Senior Taylor Russell (Braintree, Mass.) finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds and first-year Jacqueline Jozefick (Milford, Conn.) scored the go-ahead hoop with 5.9 seconds left in overtime to lift visiting Babson College to a dramatic 62-61 victory over 25th-ranked FDU-Florham in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament on Saturday at the Ferguson Recreation Center.

With the win, Babson (24-5) moves onto the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2011 and the fifth time in program history. FDU-Florham, which won the 2014 national title, sees its season come to an end at 25-4.

Jozefick finished with 10 points and five rebounds, while senior Giovanna Pickering (Hull, Mass.) contributed 10 points, six boards, six assists and three steals for the Beavers. Classmate Jennifer Narlee (Medfield, Mass.) led all players with 15 rebounds to go along with three assists and three steals in the win.

First-year Kendrea Williams (Piscataway, N.J.) led all scorers with 27 points on 7-of-16 shooting for the Devils. Senior Alyssa McDonough (Parlin, N.J.) contributed 17 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals in the loss.

The Green and White led by as many as six in the opening quarter and used a 17-4 run over the final 6:10 of the second to build a 13-point halftime edge. Russell and Pickering scored on back-to-back possessions, sophomore Tea Spellacy (Belchertown, Mass.) connected on a runner in the lane and junior Brenna LeGacy (Attleboro, Mass.) converted a three-point play to make it 32-25 with 3:06 to go until halftime.

LeGacy followed a hoop by Russell with another bucket, and Narlee and sophomore Katherine Tamulionis (Foxboro, Mass.) scored on back-to-back trips to push the Beavers' margin to 40-27 going to the locker room.

FDU-Florham scored on three straight trips to open the second half to pull within seven, and then used five straight points from McDonough to cut its deficit to 47-44 with 34 seconds left in the stanza. The Devils tied it 23 seconds into the fourth before Pickering answered with a jumper to end a field goal drought of over five minutes and put Babson back in front by two with 9:07 to go.

After five straight free throws from Williams, the teams traded 6-0 runs leaving FDU-Florham up 58-55 with 4:00 to play. Russell hit a jumper and Jozefick converted a layup to give Babson a 59-58 lead at the 2:34 mark before McDonough scored the final point of regulation at the free throw line 16 seconds later to send the game to overtime.

Senior Rachel Groom (Edison, N.J.) broke a scoreless stretch of over six minutes with a pair of free throws to give the Devils a 61-59 edge with 1:01 left in the extra session. Jozefick cut the deficit in half with a free throw on the ensuing possession, and then converted the only field goal of the period off a feed from Pickering with 5.9 seconds remaining to go in front for good. FDU-Florham sophomore Kayla Croswell's (Norwalk, Conn.) jumper in the lane hit off the back iron in the closing seconds.

Despite being outscored 16-3 at the free throw line, the Beavers turned 23 Devils' turnovers into 24 points and scored 26 second-chance points thanks to a 58-44 edge on the glass.
