LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team will be the third seed in the NACC Tournament after dropping the regular season finale to Lakeland at home on Saturday.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine controlled much of the first half of action
• Roxanna Gaddis splashed home a three-pointer with 32 seconds remaining in the first quarter to hand Benedictine a 21-12 advantage
• The lead reached double digits in the second quarter on a jumper from D'Asia Williams with 5:13 to go at 27-16
• Lakeland scored the final six points of the half to battle within 31-26 at the break
• Benedictine scored just two points in the first three minutes of the third quarter as Lakeland continued the momentum, moving ahead 34-33
• The visitors moved ahead by four at 41-37 with 2:21 to play in the third
• Benedictine scored five straight to take a 42-41 lead on a pair of free throws from Alena Moro
• A three-pointer just before the buzzer of the third started a 7-0 run for Lakeland, who opened a 48-42 lead and led the entire fourth
• A layup from Casey Williams pulled Benedictine within four points in the final minute, but four free throws enabled Lakeland to grab the win

• Benedictine finished the game shooting 34.5 percent
• Benedictine held a 41-36 advantage on the glass but visited the free throw line only 12 times compared to 24 for Lakeland
