Wolves Take Down Wildcats 74-44

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Basketball team defeated Penn College 74-44 on Friday night at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.

Keuka College (13-9, 10-7 NEAC) will play their final game of the regular season on Saturday as Keuka hosts the College of St. Elizabeth at 1pm.

Lauren Anten (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) once again led Keuka College in scoring with 15 points. Freshman guard Sam Laranjo (Averill Park, N.Y. / Averill Park) added 13 points and Abby Hess (Cortland, N.Y. / Cortland) finished with 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds.

Overall in the game, Keuka College controlled the glass. The Wolves out-rebounded the Wildcats 50-26 on Friday.

The Wildcats got out to a 4-0 lead over Keuka College, but the Wolves responded. Following a timeout, Keuka College outscored Penn 25-2. The Wildcats were held without a field goal for the final 8:40 of the quarter as Keuka led 25-6 after one.

Keuka continued to push in the second quarter. They maintained their advantage in the paint. In the first half, Keuka out-rebounded Penn College 31-12. The Wolves grabbed 14 offensive rebounds compared to two by the Wildcats. That led to 11 second-chance points for Keuka as they led 40-20 at halftime.

The Wolves widened the margin more in the second half. After the third quarter, Keuka led by 25 points, 58-33. That lead would grow to 30 points in the fourth quarter as Keuka College defeated Penn College 74-44.
