WASHINTON, D.C. – The Keuka College Women's Basketball team defeated Gallaudet University 84-54 on Sunday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game in Washington, D.C.

Keuka College (12-9, 9-7 NEAC) have a pair of games left in the regular season, both will happen at home next weekend. The Wolves will host Penn College on Friday and then finish the regular season on Saturday afternoon, hosing St. Elizabeth at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.

Sophomore Lauren Anten (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) led Keuka in scoring with 14 points on Sunday. She was one of four Wolves to net double figures. Freshman Niki Templeton (Livonia, N.Y. / Livonia) had a standout game, recording her first career double-double. Templeton set a new career-high with 11 points and tied her previous career mark with 11 rebounds. Katie Stuart (Tupper Lake, N.Y. / Tupper Lake) also scored 11 for the Wolves and Abby Hess (Cortland, N.Y. / Cortland) added 10 points.

Both teams would come out of the gate shooting well as Keuka and Gallaudet both shot over 50% from the floor in the first quarter. The Bison and the Wolves each held the lead in the quarter, but Keuka took the reins late. Lauren Anten drained a three pointer and followed it up with a jumper. Courtney Boyea (Chateaugay, N.Y. / Chateaugay) capped the 7-0 run with a jumper of her own. Keuka led 25-19 after the first quarter.

Keuka would push the lead out to 11 points in the second, but a 7-0 run by Gallaudet drew the game back to 33-29. The Wolves responded, scoring 13 of the next 15 points to reestablish their lead. Gallaudet made a late three, but Keuka led 46-34 at the half.

Just like on Saturday, Keuka College would settle the game in the third quarter. They held Gallaudet to just 1-15 shooting in the frame. At the other end of the floor, seven different players scored for the Green and Gold, led by eight points from Abby Hess. The Wolves outscored the Bison 26-5 in the quarter and led 72-39 going to the fourth.

In the final quarter, Gallaudet outscored Keuka College 15-12, but the game was well in hand for the Wolves. Keuka College would go on to defeat Gallaudet University 84-54.
