BSC Panthers move to 13-9 Overall with 73-63 Loss to Hendrix

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team dropped its second home game of the season Sunday afternoon when it fell to Hendrix University 73-63 in Bill Battle Coliseum. The Panthers moved to 13-9 overall and 8-3 against Southern Athletic Association opponents with the loss.

 

Camillia Carter (Hueytown, Ala./Hueytown HS) led with a team-high 19 points. Jameice Holmes (Nashville, Tenn./University School of Nashville) rounded out the Panthers in double-figures.  She finished with 15.

 

Laura Van Peursem (Huntsville, Ala./Randolph HS) paced the defense with a game-high five blocks, just one off the single-game program record she set her freshman year.

 

The Panthers head for their last conference road trip of the season next.  They take Oglethorpe University on Friday, Feb. 10 and then face Berry on Sunday, Feb. 10.
