(Carlisle, Pa.) – Senior guard Helen Roberts (Oakton, Va./Oakton) broke the single season school record for three-pointers on Saturday as the Dickinson women's basketball team rolled past Bryn Mawr College, 78-53.

Roberts raised her season total to a Centennial Conference-best 66 on the year to eclipse Megan Shelley's '05 mark of 64, set during the 2002-03 season.

The Red Devils jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the opening five minutes with four different players finding the score column. The Owls did a solid job on defense in the second half of the first quarter, finishing with a three-point play to trail 15-5, at the end of the first.

Roberts hit her first three-pointer of the game to stretch the lead to 21-9, early in the second period and hit another to break the record at the 4:09 mark, extending the margin to 28-12.

The Owls looked to close out the quarter strong again, outscoring the Devils, 8-2, to cut the deficit to 36-22 at the break.

Senior Mary Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) struck first in the second half, followed by a three-pointer and another field-goal from Roberts to make the score, 43-22. The Owls answered on the other end before senior Jennifer Smith (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) came back with a triple on the next possession.

Junior Kassidy Lesher (Shoemakersville, Pa./Hamburg) was a dominant force inside, and started to take over as the Devils continued to build on the lead. Senior Lindsey Zwecker (Atlanta, Ga./Pace Academy) came off the bench and gave the Red Devils some great minutes as well as the lead grew to as many as 31, late in the period.

Bryn Mawr kept battling and were able to outscore the Devils, 19-14, in the final quarter. Sophomore Jonica Brown (Mohnton, Pa./The Hill School) and first-year Emily Padalino (West Sand Lake, N.Y./Albany Academy) handled the scoring for the Devils while senior point guard Kelsey Walsh (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) played well running the offense.

Erica Dwyer and Halena Martin each scored 12 points to lead Bryn Mawr as they slip to 2-18 overall and 0-15 in the Centennial Conference.

Martin led the Red Devils with 16 points, five rebounds and five assists while Roberts finished with 15 points and four rebounds, hitting a trio of three-pointers. Lesher tallied a double-double, scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, and controlling 12 rebounds. Padalino reached double-figures with 11 points.

The Red Devils improve to 14-7 overall and 11-5 in the conference. They travel to Gettysburg College on Tuesday night to face the Bullets at 7:00 pm and travel to Ursinus College for a 1:00 pm start on Saturday.
