BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team overcame a halftime deficit against Nichols Saturday afternoon to earn a 60-51 comeback victory inside MacDonald Gymnasium in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

The Bison raced out to a 20-8 advantage after one quarter of play for their largest lead of the game on junior forward Allison Cerrato's (Rockland, Mass.) layup and turned in a 32-27 lead at the break.

Endicott grabbed its first lead of the day since senior forward Sarah Hood's (Burlington, Mass.) opening layup on senior guard Ilyza Holman's (Ashland, Mass.) trey with 5:31 to play in the third quarter.

The Gulls took the lead for good (39-37 with 4:48 left in the third quarter) as freshman guard Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) connected from downtown on one of her career-high four three-pointers en route to a career-high/game-high 17 points and seven rebounds in the come-from behind victory.

Nichols chipped away to get the score within two, 53-51, with 2:31 left, but six straight points from Pratt helped put the game away.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 20-5 overall and 11-2 at home in the all-time series against Nichols.
  • Endicott has won the past three straight meetings, including last season's series sweep.
  • Pratt has scored in double-digits in six games this season.
