GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Charlotte Kucowski netted her 1,000th career point as the Griffins notched their fifth CSAC win of the season with a 73-43 win over Keystone Wednesday evening at The Griffin Complex.

The senior totaled 24 points, 13 rebounds, and four steals, all game highs as she hit the mark in the third quarter. On an inbound play near the left baseline, Kucowski would grab a pass from Bianca Adams, work her way into the lane and hit a soft turnaround jumper which would rattle home for career point 1,001. She becomes the 14th player in program history to accomplish the feat.

Gwynedd (7-8, 5-1 CSAC) would hit 11 three-pointers on the evening, marking the third time they reached double figures from behind the arc. Kucowski hit four, Larissa Leyes drained three, while Adams and Julianna Hoisington each had two apiece.

Adams sunk a quick triple to open the game for GMercyU followed by Monet McGorda's two points from under the basket. She would get fouled in the process but miss the ensuing free throw, however, Hoisington stole a pass off the Giants' defensive rebound to set up Kucowski for a three.  Nicole Dombrowski on the next possession hit two free throws to put GM up 10-0. Chyanne Fine would hit a tough leaner in the paint and draw the foul, upping the lead to 23-8. Keystone was able to hit two three's and a layup to end the quarter at 23-13.

Kucowski's late three in the second pushed the advantage to 39-19. After Keystone and Gwynedd each traded baskets, the half ended at 41-21.

In the second half, the Griffins kept on rolling. Adams hit a jumper followed by a three from Hoisington, and another bucket for Kucowski. After Kucowski hit her milestone bucket, the Giants scored the next seven points, but Hoisington sunk a three with eight seconds to go in the stanza to end the quarter with GM up 55-30.

Hoisington contributed 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a pair of blocks. The team held a 47-38 rebound edge while shooting 41.8% (28-of-67) on the night. Gwynedd forced 21 turnovers that led to 31 points.

Savanna Robinson led Keystone (5-9, 4-2 CSAC) with 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Hannah Zuchowski also added 10 points, along with six rebounds. The Giants shot just 25.4% for the game (15-of-59)
