RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team moved to 6-0 in conference play by opening a busy week with a seventh consecutive victory.

Benedictine scored the first four points of the game on baskets from Georgia Alexakos and Andrea Fuoss
Both teams struggled from the floor in the opening 10 minutes but a three from D'Asia Williams made the score 7-2 with 4:12 left
Bennita Drain hit a free throw in the final 30 seconds of the opening quarter to extend the lead to seven at 11-4
Dominican shot over 56 percent in the second quarter while limiting Benedictine to just two field goals

"A great road conference win," head coach Charlie Averkamp said. "We have been battling the injury bug and had some big performances from Roxanna Gaddis and Andrea Fuoss stepping up into bigger minute roles. Venita Parsons was huge in the second half."
