The loss snapped Marietta's six-game win streak as the Pioneers slip to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets improve to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the OAC.

Baldwin Wallace turned up the pressure on defense and forced four Pioneers turnovers in the early going of the fourth quarter. The Yellow Jackets capitalized on those turnovers hitting three from downtown and turning the five-point deficit into an eight-point lead, 55-47, three minutes into the final period.

Borich nailed a triple with 1:04 left in the game to tie the game, 59-59. But those would be Marietta's final points in the game as the Pioneers missed its final three shot attempts. Forced to foul the Yellow Jackets, Baldwin Wallace converted four-of-six free throws in the final minute to secure the victory.

For the game, Marietta shot 41.4% (24-of-58) from the floor, 33.3% (6-of-18) from three-point range and 83.3% (5-of-6) from the free throw line. Baldwin Wallace was 23-of-57 (40.4%) from the floor, 10-of-29 (34.5%) from behind the arc and 7-of-11 (63.6%) at the line.
