Unfortunately, for the Tigers, Emory answered back. The Eagles outscored Sewanee 15-2 the rest of the quarter. That gave the Eagles a 24-11 advantage heading into the second quarter.

Sewanee cut its deficit to 10, 39-29, early in the third quarter before Emory answered back. Sewanee pulled to within 10 again with 2:44 left after a three by Corey Caulder. However, like they did previously, Emory responded. The Eagles went inside to Ashley Oldshue, who scored the next four points. From there, Emory held on despite Sewanee outscoring the home team by one, 13-12, the final 10 minutes.
