RIC held Lyndon State to just 23.5 percent (4-for-17) shooting from the field and forced the Hornets into six first quarter turnovers.

Lyndon State chipped away at the lead throughout the second quarter and trailed by just four points when a free throw by Foy with 2:35 left on the clock made the score 25-21. RIC responded and closed out the half on a 7-0 run, capped by a free-throw by Rubera with less than a second left on the clock, to give the Anchorwomen their largest lead of the contest, 32-21 heading into the locker room at halftime. The visiting Hornets cut the RIC lead to just three points, 40-37, on a three-pointer by Foy with 2:11 left in the third quarter. That would be as close as Lyndon State would get as RIC took a 44-39 lead after three quarters of play. Lyndon State shot 21.1 percent (8-for-19) from the field for the third quarter.

The Anchorwomen regained their double-digit advantage early in the fourth quarter as a three-pointer by Moore gave the team a 49-39 lead with 8:44 left in regulation. RIC led by as many as 15 points down the stretch before taking the 61-48 victory.

RIC shot 31.2 percent (24-for-77) from the field, 20.7 percent (6-for-29) from behind the three-point stripe and 58.3 (7-for-12) from the free throw line. Lyndon State shot 33.9 percent (19-for-56) from the field, 14.3 percent (2-for-14) from beyond the three-point line and 61.5 percent (8-for-13) from the free throw line.
