MILWAUKEE -- The 14th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titans topped host Alverno College 65-21 in the final game of the 2016 Inferno Classic Saturday afternoon inside Reiman Gymnasium.

The Inferno was held to just 20 percent from the field while the Titans (3-0) made 42 percent of their field-goal attempts including a 7-of-12 effort from 3-pooint range.

Alverno also struggled to keep UW-Oshkosh off the glass as the visitors outrebounded the Inferno 45-24 with 16 board on the offensive end.

Gabby Hood and Katelyn Bartlett led Alverno with five points apiece while Donna Zehner collected a team-high five rebounds. Bailey Buffington tallied a pair of blocks and a steal to lead the defensive effort.

UWO's Taylor Schmidt led all scorers with 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting while Eliza Campbell added 10.

The Inferno (0-3), which fell to its second ranked opponent in five days, has a week off before it opens Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play against Concordia University Chicago Saturday, Nov. 26. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Reiman Gymnasium.
