How It Happened

  • The first quarter was a quarter of two runs. The Ravens opened up the game by holding Gwynedd Mercy scoreless over the first 8:24, building a 15-0 lead with 1:36 remaining in the first quarter. The Griffins came back to put together a 7-0 run in the rest of the quarter, but it was the Ravens with a 15-7 lead at quarter-time.
  • GMU would score the first four points in the 2nd quarter, making it an 11-0 run before a three-point bucket from Jasmyn Parker ended the streak, putting the Ravens back up by seven, 18-11 with 8:44 left in the half. The Ravens would cede the lead for the first time with 2:49 left in the 2nd quarter after a Gwynedd Mercy layup put the home side ahead 27-26 with 2:49 left on the clock. The Ravens would quickly grab back the lead 19 seconds later on a three-point play by Leilani Naone-Carter, followed by another Naone-Carter bucket to put Rosemont back in front by four points, 33-29. The Ravens would keep a three-point lead, 33-30 going into halftime.
  • With the Ravens Leading by a point, 38-37 with 6:14 left in the clock in the 3rd quarter, Gwynedd lMercy started to take control of the game. The Griffins outscored the Ravens 15-3 to grab a double-digit lead, 11 points, heading into the final quarter, 52-41.
  • The Griffins opened the 4th quarter with a 10-2 advantage to take a commanding 19-point lead, 62-43 with 7 ½ minutes left in the game, and from that point the Ravens could get no closer than 15 points as GMU won the quarter 20-14.

Ravens' Top Performers

  • Leilani Naone-Carter shot 8-for-10 from the field, tying a career-high 21 points with 11 rebounds for a double-double.
  • Brianna Macauley also earned a double-double, scoring 10 points with 10 boards.
  • Jasmyn Parker hit four field goals, all from downtown to account for her 12 points. She also led the Ravens with six assists.
 

For the Griffins

  • Nicole Dombrowski led four Griffins who scored in double figures. She hit on 8-of-14 from the field, scoring 18 points. She also was big in the paint, grabbing 15 rebounds for a big double-double.
  • Charlotte Kucowski had a strong game with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Olivia Bradford scored 12 with nine rebounds to just miss a double-double.
  • Bianca Adams scored 11.
 

Stats of the Game

  • Rosemont won the first quarter, 15-7, but was outscored in the 2nd-4th quarters, 65-40.
  • GMU converted 18-of-22 from the foul line (81.8%) compared to Rosemont's 11-for-19 (57.9%).
