Tommie women get bounce back win

The No. 19-ranked Tommies got 13 points and seven rebounds from junior center Kaitlin Langer in Wednesday night's 54-36 home MIAC women's basketball victory over St. Benedict at Schoenecker Arena.

Ten players scored for UST, which posted a 24-5 edge in bench points and had a 43-24 rebounding advantage.

The Tommies (11-3 overall, 5-2 MIAC) closed the second quarter on a 13-1 run for a 25-14 halftime lead. The Blazers never got closer than seven in the second half.

Niki Fokken had 11 points for the Blazers (9-5, 4-3).
