OSWEGO, N.Y. – The College at Brockport Women's Basketball team pulled off a nail biting 56-54 victory over State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) foe Oswego on the road Tuesday evening led by the double trouble of Olivia Suhr and Hannah Rehbaum.

The Golden Eagles (6-5 Overall, 2-2 SUNYAC) led for most of the contest but the Lakers refused to sail it in as they tied the score multiple times in the fourth quarter. Two clutch free throws from the Lakers with 47 seconds remaining in the game tied the score and gave Oswego the 54-53 lead.

Brockport quickly responded when freshman Hannah Spencer converted a lay-in opportunity with 30 seconds left to retake the lead. Oswego nearly ran the clock out before shooting a three pointer with five seconds remaining. The ball kicked out and Rehbaum secured the significant rebound.

Freshman Schyler Laux was fouled by Oswego and sent to the free throw line. After missing the first shot, Laux drained the second attempt to push Brockport ahead by two points with two seconds remaining. The Lakers were unable to get a shot off as Brockport secured its second SUNYAC victory of the season.

Suhr was an unstoppable force down low for Brockport as she not only led the team with 20 points but she also corralled 17 rebounds. Five of Suhr's rebounds came on the offensive end as she helped Brockport score 10 second chance points.

Junior Hannah Rehbaum assisted in Brockport's dominance on the glass as she finished one rebound shy of a double-double. Rehbaum scored 16 points with nine rebounds – four of which on the offensive side.

After a low scoring 11-10 first quarter with Brockport trailing, the Golden Eagles took the lead into half time leading 29-25. Rehbaum scored at the most efficient rate, making 4-of-5 from the floor with eight points in just 11 minutes played during the first half.

Oswego jumped out to an eight point lead in the second quarter but the Golden Eagles went on a 15-0 run including six points from Rehbaum. Brockport scored 15 unanswered points in a span of a little more than three minutes erasing the eight point deficit to a seven point lead.

Freshmen Spencer and Laux each scored seven points. Junior Faith Welch finished the game with five assists while Spencer added four. Welch totaled four steals while Suhr contributed three herself. In addition to Suhr's team leading points and rebounds, she also blocked two shots.
