Baruch Rolls Past Cougars (69-24)

The Baruch College Bearcats jumped out to a 16-1 first period lead en route to a 69-24 CUNYAC road win at the Cougars of Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York.

The Cougars shot 15 percent (10-for-67) in the loss, including 1-of-17 from three. Danyelle Foster led their team with 12 points.

The visiting Bearcats shot 43 percent (29-for-68) in the win, and scored 27 points off 24 turnovers.

Jacqueline Kennedy lead all Bearcat scorers with game-highs of 27 points, 22 rebounds and two blocked shots, while Kristen Podlovits (seven assists) had 18 points and Veronica Ganzi a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bearcats will resume CUNYAC action on Tuesday, January 5, with a 5:30 pm CUNYAC home contest against John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
