Off sets personal best in scoring

FREDONIA, NY—Junior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) set a career-high mark in in points during an 80-70 loss to Fredonia State on the road Tuesday evening.
 
Off led the team with 28 points, eclipsing her previous career-high mark of 27 points against Houghton College last year on the road.  She reached the 28-point mark on 9-of-15 shooting (2-of-2 from 3PT range).  Sophomore McKaylee Croll (Perry, NY/Perry) also had a stellar night on offense scoring 22 points (second highest in her career) and added seven rebounds.  Off and Croll hit 8-of-9 (88.9%) and 6-of-6 free throws, respectively.
 
Despite the strong efforts of both Off and Croll, the Saxons struggled, turning the ball over 25 time, turning into 31 points for the Blue Devils.  Fredonia was led by Jacque Law with 16 points and three assists.
 
Alfred University (0-6, E8 0-0) shot 23-of-51 (45.1%) on the night and hit 6-of-12 three pointers along with 18-of-27 (66.7%) of its free throws.  The Saxon defense held the Blue Devils to only 26-of-75 (34.7%) shooting from the field.
 
In addition to leading the team on offense, Off also led the Saxons with nine boards.  Sophomore Taylor Kelley (Andover, NY/Andover) helped AU with eight points and five rebounds.
 
The Saxons search for their first win of the year when they take on Hamilton College at home Friday December 4, at 7PM.
