Rose-Hulman 3-0 After Win Over Case Western

MARIETTA, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on a balanced scoring attack to defeat Case Western Reserve University 68-60 on Saturday night and improve to 3-0 on the season.

Junior Kristen Belyea led the offensive output with 16 points.  Junior Josie Schmidt added a double-double with 14 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.

Senior Cassidy Cain pitched in with 12 points and a career-high eight assists.  Sophomore Alyzia Dilworth also reached double figures with 11 points and six rebounds.  Freshman Jenna Queary contributed four points and three rebounds, and three players added three points each.

Jessica McCoy led the Case Western Reserve offense with 18 points, and Laura Mummey also reached double figures with 15 points for the Spartans.

Rose-Hulman is off to a 3-0 start for the second time in school history, joining the 2006-07 squad with wins in its first three contests.  The Fightin' Engineers look to improve to 4-0 for the first time ever on Sunday, when Rose-Hulman faces a 5-0 Marietta squad that is off to its best start in 25 years.  Tip time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
